These two drops MUST come from the very first zombies you kill inside the hidden garage area or elsewhere in the FIRST ROOM. I’ve noticed that if you get at least 2 drops (of any sort) in the very first seconds of pods, it is highly indicative of a high drop rate match. If you go in from the very start with HR, you waste your money AND time (and ammo.) Why is it dumb? Because you don’t know whether it will be one of those high drop rate matches or not beforehand. I have tried to explain to these people that hrfarm is dumb, and they have not listened to me. There are people who host “hrfarm” matches, and I believe this is dumb. But that’s Onslaught, and it isn’t really the best map. If you get 2 drops (could be turret, cash, grenades or even a box) at the very beginning, you know there is a high probability that this is one of those high drop rate matches. In Onslaught, that’s like the first 5 zombies that are killed (before the gates even break.) Ideally, you should start the match and immediately have loot flying at you from behind the gates. You can easily tell if something is high rate or not by observing the first few kills in a match. Not just any match, but you need a “high” rate match to take advantage of HR in order to maximize your chances to get a box. Now that you know this, you realize the optimal times to use HR is during those “high” rate matches. ![]() I think there may be an additional “very high” (more on that later.) If you’ve ever played Onslaught and had cash and loot dropping all over the place, this is “high”. In “normal”, you get a few drops here and there. There is normal, which is what you usually get. Given that, there seem to be at least 2 rates (and possibly 3 or more). My hypothesis is that there is some general drop rate variable that is set at the beginning of every match (by this, I mean during building, or on game start.) To clarify, I do not mean WHAT each zombie drops (I believe this is randomly and decided on the spot, i.e., on death of zombie.) I mean the total number of drops that you will get in the match. And in other matches, you will barely get anything? This happens on EVERY map, including events (such as Apocalypse). Have you ever noticed that in some matches (in both single player and in multi) that sometimes you will get a match where every other zombie (not actually every other zombie, but a lot of them moreso than usual) drops something? Cash, turrets, occasionally a strongbox, etc. Keep this in mind as there are simply too many people who complain that HR doesn’t work because their expectation is that they should get super boxes just because they have HR. I believe the probability is raised to 20% or something based on an old post from the devs, and apparently, it replaces the turret drops (by lowering the chances of getting a turret, and increasing the chances of getting a strong box.) This is according to the devs themselves. But what it does is simply increase your chances of getting a strongbox and guarantees that you won’t get a steel (so you get a tit at minimum.) That is all it does, it isn’t going to guarantee that you get any boxes at all. Those who don’t claim it doesn’t work, blah blah blah. ![]() Okay, so let me begin by saying that there seems to be two crowds here. This has not been confirmed by the devs, and when I asked NKSpool about it in the chat one time, he seemed to state the contrary (though I still doubt it as I have clearly see it work over and over.) So try it out if you want and see if it works for you.Īlso be aware that if it really does work, since I am publicizing it, it may be patched in the future if the devs feel it necessary (this is in regards to farming pods.) Firstly, let me just say that this is my conjecture based on observation and experience.
